…it seems to me that in my brief 30+ years of life, that people who read, watch and love science fiction as a genre of entertainment are generally intelligent people with soaring imaginations who can think outside of the box. Whereas people who detest science fiction are generally drab, without imagination, and their intelligence is generally suspect before proving.

I could be way off base here but it seems like a law of sociology to me.
