Okay, okay, okay. I’m addicted to gadgets. I know it. Fantastic Bastard dubbed me “Technology Boy” ten years ago and he was absolutely correct. If it’s the latest thing, I have to have it. Infommercials are a particular weakness of mine. I love to be sold on the next new thing. I respect inventions that cut down the amount of time it takes to do monotonous tasks and inventions that allow me to do something that I couldn’t have done before.
In the Kindle’s case, I love the possibility of carrying thousands of books, magazines and newspapers with me in a little over 10 ounces. I love the e-paper design and the wireless functionality of being able to buy brand new release books for less than ten bucks anywhere. I like being able to follow blogs the second they are updated. I can carry this with me in the car, in the meeting room, while I’m waiting for an oil change.
I can get brand new released hard back books for less than ten bucks. We’ll see. I’m reading up on it though.
